Under the leadership of Board President Brad Purcell, with support from current and past FTC board members and community supporters Jamie Orvis, Bitsy Higgins and Georgianna Platt of Westport and Glen Grella, Jeff Babushkin and Gay Tice of Fairfield, FTC holds its third annual golf tournament on June 13th at the newly renovated Patterson Club.
“The event gets bigger and better each year, great golfing, people and live music, there’s no better way to support FTC” says Brad Purcell, FTC board president. The event includes 18 holes of golf, gourmet lunch and dinner, a live auction and live music. For those who don’t golf there is a separate ticket price for the post-tournament dinner and music. This year’s performers include vocalists Jay Stollman and Beth Iovinelli, playing funk, soul and rock n’ roll.
Sponsors for this year’s tournament include TD Bank as the top level Gold Sponsor, Goodnow Investment Group LLC of Darien – Silver Sponsor and Security Solutions, Inc. of Norwalk – Cocktail Sponsor, as well as many businesses and individuals as Hole Sponsors, rallying to show their support of FTC. Not to be missed, BMW of Bridgeport is offering a 2011 328-i Convertible to the first golfer to get a hole-in-one. Other prizes include generous gift certificates from Mitchells/Richards of Westport and Greenwich.
"The golf tournament is one of BMW’s favorite FTC events, and something I look forward to all year", says Mitch McManus, General Manager of BMW of Bridgeport. He continues, "Golf is the favorite sport of the BMW driver and, therefore, a perfect match for our customers, and like everything FTC does, the golf tournament is typical FTC style – a rockin' party that, in this case, happens to be preceded by a great day of golf."
In addition to prizes from luxury retailers, FTC is offering some stellar live auction items including vacation homes in Turks and Caicos and Park City, Utah, tickets to the Yankees vs. Red Sox game, tickets and a meet and greet with John Mayer, an FTC Season Passport to any and all shows for two, and golf outings at the prestigous golf courses Bulls Bridge in Litchfield and National Golf Links in Southampton. The always hilarious Bill Brennan will be running the live auction.
All sponsors receive a variety of benefits including: FTC tickets for players, banners on the golf course and many other perks. Sponsorship opportunities at all levels are still available by contacting Brinda Pola at bpola@fairfieldtheatre.org.
As a reminder, last year’s tournament was a sell-out so FTC encourages people to sign up right away. For registration and sign up go to www.fairfieldtheatre.org.
