Long December is “an achingly honest look at the creator life” (The Film Yap), and follows a struggling artist pursuing his dream of music during one December month. In the spirit of singer/songwriter musicals like Once and A Star is Born, and embracing the melancholy of the holidays in America, Long December is a story about music, dreams, and the heavy hopes we carry. Disappointment Media calls the film “A stirring indie musical” and Movie Emporium calls it “A truly remarkable film.” Featuring live on-camera performances from noteworthy Americana music artists Jude Moses, John Mark McMillan, Margolnick and Sarah DeShields.
There will be a performance by composer Reuben Torrey followed by a Q&A with director Thomas Torrey and is moderated by Brian Russell of Red Shoe Film.
