Whether he’s playing an acoustic solo set or busting out tunes with his backing band, folk crooner Ryan Montbleau consistently delivers intimate, heartfelt performances. NPR’s Mountain Stage compared his “eloquent, soulful songwriting” to Bill Withers and James Taylor. It's the kind of music that crosses genre lines, blending funk, soul, jazz and more into one put-it-on-and-let-it-play package. Even Montbleau himself has a hard time categorizing his music, but when pressed, he says it is “lyrically-driven folk/Americana mixed with soul/R&B.”
